The misalignment, missing question or unspoken truth that is weakening the whole.
Artist · Founder · Strategic advisor · Creative diagnostician
I’m Mihaela Motica—a lifelong creative and artist, founder and strategic advisor. I see what is missing, connect what others hold separately and turn the bigger picture into a brand, strategy or experience people can believe in.
London-rooted · Working internationally · Open to US and global collaborations
My creative path began at four years old—not as a hobby, but as the way I understood the world when other forms of understanding felt closed to me. The arts did more than inspire me. They taught me to perceive across disciplines, contexts and the space between what is felt and what is formed. I am not adopting creativity as a new identity; I am reclaiming the artist who has been there all along.
Education once labelled me slow because my intelligence did not fit its measures. Later, corporate and entrepreneurial systems showed me how often structures miss the very people, ideas and possibilities they claim to value. That friction became a form of intelligence: I learned to see what systems overlook.
For more than a decade, I have moved through filmmaking, production, brand, strategic communication, founder life and community-building across four countries. Living between Romania, Portugal, South Korea and the UK—and continuing to travel—has trained me to read context quickly, translate between cultures and bring a wider lens to work anywhere. I hold a First Class degree in Film and Television Production, won a Royal Television Society award, and spent four years contributing to approximately 400 projects across London Business School.
Alongside that professional path, I have spent more than a decade immersed in self-development and inner work. It sharpened my intuition, deepened my understanding of people and taught me how to hold a space where someone can speak without performing. I am as interested in the person making the decision as I am in the decision itself.
Today, I bring those worlds together. Mirad closes the gap between organisational intent and audience experience. AMONGKIND is my legacy work and an institution in the making—the place where the artist, filmmaker, strategist, host and systems thinker meet in a public practice for belonging, participation, culture and my return to the arts. Through The Quiet Revolution, I bring its larger Return to Human inquiry into public conversation. My personal work holds the connecting thread: returning human judgement, imagination and depth to the centre of what we build.
The thread through everything
I have always been the one who sees the pattern before it has a name.
I stand between what people and organisations carry inside them and what the world can perceive. I find the missing connection, then build the bridge that lets the depth travel without being flattened.
As technology accelerates and the systems around us become more efficient, I keep returning to one conviction: a more human future has to be built, not merely communicated.
I strengthen the relationship between organisations and people.
I create the conditions for people to meet, participate and belong more meaningfully—and for place and culture to play their full part.
I turn questions of identity, belonging, systems and inner life into film, installation, writing and participatory forms—returning creativity to the centre of how we make meaning.
Personal operating system
I do not fit neatly inside one discipline—and that is the advantage. I move between the detail and the whole, between the idea and the form it needs.
I see the gap before it becomes the cost.
I notice what is missing, misaligned or unresolved—often before the organisation has language for it. That is where the real work begins.
Start with what you need
You do not need to decide which version of me you need. Begin with the situation you recognise; I will help identify the right form for the work.

Put me inside a business, brand, initiative or room and I quickly see what is missing, what is disconnected and what could become possible. My value is not one narrow discipline. It is the ability to hold the whole picture—and make it useful.
The misalignment, missing question or unspoken truth that is weakening the whole.
I connect the commercial, creative, cultural and human dimensions others often examine separately.
I look beyond the immediate brief to the stronger business, brand or experience trying to emerge.
From positioning and naming to narrative and experience, I turn insight into something coherent and compelling.
For organisational strategy and communication work, I lead Mirad Studios. I also work directly with founders on thought partnership, brand and venture architecture, and special projects.
The founder constellation
Mirad strengthens the relationship between organisations and people. AMONGKIND strengthens the relationship between people—and between people, place and culture.
When intent, action and communication diverge, trust erodes.
Through diagnosis, narrative and execution, Mirad helps leaders close the gap between what they mean, what their organisation does and what people receive. The work is guided by Strategic Emotional Resonance (SER)—the proprietary method I created to make strategy clear, credible and felt.

My legacy work: an independent cultural venture and institution in the making, building the social and cultural infrastructure for a more human world through gatherings, partnerships and organisational programmes.
Enter AMONGKINDThis portfolio belongs to an earlier chapter and has not kept pace with the work itself—I have been busy creating rather than updating. It still offers a glimpse into my visual language, filmmaking and creative foundations.
Legacy work · Institution in the making
AMONGKIND is my legacy work: an institution in the making where the artist, filmmaker, strategist, host and systems thinker in me finally meet. I am building it because the arts gave me a language, depth and way of understanding the world that conventional systems often struggled to hold. After years across filmmaking, strategy, communication and executive education, I wanted to turn that conviction into a public practice: places where curiosity, creativity and genuine human encounter are treated not as luxuries, but as part of the infrastructure of a meaningful life.
“The room is not the work. What becomes possible inside it is.”
Sometimes we create the room. Sometimes we activate what is already there. Through gatherings, clubs and community partnerships, cultural-place activation and organisational work, AMONGKIND brings people, place and practice into relationship.
The Return to Human is the wider inquiry. The Quiet Revolution is its podcast and public conversation. The AMONGKIND facilitation method remains in development through practice.
I could have built many businesses. I chose these two because they are the clearest expressions of one life’s work: closing the gap between human depth and what the world is able to receive.
One expression of The Return to Human
After a quiet pause, the podcast is returning for Season 2 with a clearer thematic centre: The Return to Human. Through honest conversations on leadership, culture, relationships, technology and the systems shaping modern life, I want to ask what becomes possible when we stop performing and start meeting each other with depth.

Talks & conversations
I speak where leadership, creativity, technology and human experience meet—bringing the candour of a founder, the eye of a filmmaker and the questions of a cultural builder.
Discuss a speaking invitationWhat we must keep responsible to human experience as technology accelerates.
Why better questions, imagination and judgement matter more—not less.
How leaders turn genuine intent into communication people can trust.
An honest conversation about building, uncertainty, loneliness and choosing your own pace.
Hosting is not simply reading the agenda. I read the energy, make transitions feel natural, invite the audience into the conversation and keep the logistics invisible. The aim is a room that moves past awkwardness quickly—without forcing intimacy—and creates the conditions for genuine participation.

Inner strategy · founder guidance
For more than a decade, I have explored self-development, spirituality, identity and the inner patterns that shape our choices. I do not believe guidance means handing someone my answers.
It means listening closely enough to help them recognise their own.
I don’t coach people into my blueprint. I help them find their own.
I bring the same diagnostic mind I use with businesses to the person behind the work: seeing the hidden pattern, asking the question underneath the question, and connecting inner truth with practical direction.
People often tell me they have shared something with me that they have never said aloud before. I hold that trust carefully—with candour, deep listening and no judgement.
My work makes room for rigorous strategy and lived reality alongside intuition, spiritual depth and the patterns we sense before we can prove them. I do not flatten one to make the other more respectable. I translate between them.
I am slowly turning the journey of rebuilding, unlearning and returning to myself into a book. Overcoming Me gathers the inner story behind the work: how survival becomes capability, capability becomes choice, and how we stop mistaking adaptation for identity.
A life built across disciplines
Across film, production, brand, strategic communication and community-building.
A cross-cultural lens sharpened by international work, including South Korea.
A founder-led crowdfunding story that raised £100,600 above its original goal.
Royal Television Society award for I, a three-screen film and installation exploring identity.
Writing · voice · journey
My writing is where the different parts of my work meet: leadership, AI, communication, belonging, founder life and the systems that shape us. Not content for visibility—an evolving record of what I notice and what I am building toward.
“For some of us, building didn’t start with ambition. It started with survival.”
Fifteen years after putting a life into a car and leaving Portugal, I wrote about starting again: how survival became capability, capability became independence, and building slowly became a choice.
